Life as we know it has changed drastically over the past weeks and months. Our new normal involves sanitising every surface, wearing protective masks and social distancing, not just here in Africa, but globally. As a brand and family, we at Seolo Africa have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our staff and most valued guests.

We recognise the critical role we play in providing safe tourism and dining experiences and we commit to enforcing approved World Health Organization (WHO), government and industry protocols and directives. Additionally, we understand and acknowledge our industry’s responsibility in supporting South Africa’s leaders in the measures taken to minimise the spread of COVID-19.

We, therefore, pledge to uphold and adhere to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Standard Protocols for COVID-19 Operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Social distancing

Our staff and other guests will be encouraged to maintain a minimum of 1.5m radius. This will offer peace of mind that you are still able to enjoy your Seolo Africa experience without the worry or fear of exposure. Our lodges are very intimate and the number of guests at one time is of no great concern.

Although we will try and social distance as best we can you can rest assured that the quality and level of service you would expect at our lodges will be a guaranteed part of your Seolo journey.
Masks & Sanitising

As per legal requirements and COVID-19 regulations all staff and guests are required to wear masks and sanitise regularly. All our rooms, trolleys, door handles, keys and surfaces are regularly sanitised.

We are committed to ensuring the lodge, room, vehicles and any area or surface a guest might come into contact with has been cleaned, sanitised and made as safe as possible. Should you require assistance with luggage our porters will sanitise before and after they have assisted you.
Staff

We value our staff and their safety is paramount to ensuring our lodges remain safe and functional during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their transport to and from the lodges is strictly monitored and we ensure they do not make use of public transport in order to minimise the risk of infection.

All our staff are required to sanitise their hands on arrival at work and have their temperatures taken. Any staff member with a high temperature will be sent home.
