Around 21 kilometres upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls, situated in the middle of the roaring Zambezi River, lies an island like few others. The surrounding wilderness forms part of the Zambezi National Park, with Chundu Island lying smack-bang on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. What activities can you do at Chundu Island?

As it’s an island lodge in the middle of the Zambezi River, you’re guaranteed a plethora of activities while visiting Chundu Island! From safari drives and walking safaris in the surrounding Zambezi National Park, to fishing and canoeing on the Zambezi River, there’s something for everyone.

Sundowner and River Cruises

Cruise the Zambezi on our open air barge while enjoying drinks and snacks as the sun sets on the horizon. Sundowner cruises are the ultimate way to relax at the end of the day on Chundu Island.

Canoeing on the Zambezi River

Paddling the Zambezi in inflatable canoes offers game viewing from a different perspective. Spot elephants drinking on the shore all while enjoying the serenity of the river.

Game drives

The 2.5 hour drive through the Zambezi National Park is led by experienced guides offering guests a chance to soak up the natural scenic beauty while keeping a watchful eye for the many different resident species.
