Reviews & Testimonials

We strive to do our best for you, our guests

We could tell you how amazing our team is because it’s true, or how wonderful the meals are at our lodges because they are. But our opinions are biased (of course!), however, the opinions and recommendations of our guests are not at all biased. We share a few here with you so you can see for yourself why we do what we do.

Chundu Island – Zambezi National Park, Zimbabwe

Rhino Post Safari Lodge – Kruger National Park, South Africa

We come from a conservation background, and have a passion for nature; which is probably evident from the fact that we have lived in the Kruger National Park since 1992! We want to share our enthusiasm for nature with others, and help foster a love and respect for all creatures great and small and their environment. This is not only our duty, but our pleasure. When you visit us, forget formality, and embrace the friendly, warm hospitality of our staff as we share a completely authentic experience with you.

Private, secluded, perfect

“Chundu Island is a perfect destination for a romantic getaway. Its located upstream from Victoria Falls, far away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotspots. The island is tranquil and quiet. Our room was very luxurious. The reception and bar area is well kitted out, well designed and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were served on a deck overlooking the Zambezi. Food was great. Wine collection outstanding. Activities: Sundowner cruise and fishing trip one morning. I would recommend both activities. The island is remote and off the grid. We loved it!”

Unique Experience

“Rhino Post, along with their sister camp, Plains Camp were a real adventure. Rhino Camp overlooks a riverbed with a watering hole. You cabins are on stilts at the edge of the riverbed. We had an elephant walk by our deck while we were having a glass of wine. Plains camp is a waling safari camp with very nice cabins. We combined 2 nights each and it was just the right amount of each.”

You won’t want to leave

“An unbelievable experience from when we were collected at Zambezi house to when we got dropped off again. Great food, amazing accommodation (especially the outside shower) and just a relaxing atmosphere from when you step foot onto the island. The staff made our 10 year wedding anniversary feel even more special. We will definitely be back.”

Perfect place for your Safari

“My wife and I came with my parents to Plains Camp. We had the perfect guide Andre and Trekker Albino. Andre was very professional and had a lot of passion for wildlife & the national park. With his vast knowledge, he shared lots of stories regarding animals, plants and even the park itself. We saw a lot of different animals while walking. There was no moment that we felt dangerous, it was conducted in a safe and fun manner. The tent was comfortable, clean and luxurious. Staffs were full of smiles and the food was delicious (soft drinks, beers and wines were all inclusive). We could even see wildlife right in front of our tents. I had the best star viewing in plains camp and Andre even taught us about constellations. We had a one night sleep out in the bush. The bush tents were comfortable and safe. The food was excellent as well. We heard elephants trumpeting and baboons fighting while dining. All in all, a memorable safari trip that makes me yearn for more!”

Experience of a lifetime

“Our two night stay at Rhino Post was an experience of a lifetime. We were welcomed by an ice cold lemonade on a very hot summer day. The lodge grounds are beautiful. We often had an audience of vervet monkeys near the lodge. The bar and patio area overlooks a watering hole which often has elephants and various antelope walking through for a drink. Our lodge was comfortable, clean, and luxurious. Having an honesty bar/refrigerator right in your room is very convenient. The food was delicious. The staff and service are friendly and professional. The game drives with Myrkah were the highlight. She is so knowledgeable of plants, insects, and wildlife. She always made sure people were having a great time, seeing what they wanted to see, and were comfortable. We highly recommend Rhino Post.”

Outstanding for the adventurous

“My 20 year old son and I had a fantastic experience here. Our walking safaris were educational and fascinating with our guides Andre’ and Amos. We stayed 3 nights and saw lots of animals while walking and even more on the drives. Highlights included baby animals – elephants, leopard cubs, various antelope, etc. The food was very good. We also had the excitement of seeing 2 males lions on one of our walks. I highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience!”
